Herschel Grynszpan

Boy did this guy ever start trouble!
On November 7th 1938, Herschel Grynszpan, who was a 17 year old Polish Jew, shot and killed Ernst Von Rath, Third Secretary at the German Embassy in Paris. This event caused the Kristallnacht aka Night of Broken Glass 2 days later and then, well... the rest.
