Drew this at a Concordia University class in 1991. I hated those classes with a passion. The teachers. The smell. The dirtiness. The pretentious attitudes. The crappy art. The good art... When I saw Eraserhead years later, it reminded me of how I felt when I walked to class in those days. Maybe I wasn't ready.
This is a rigged character that I would give clients who were learning how to do cutout animation for the first time. You see, it's easy, because he ain't got no arms.
I had the idea for this character while hanging out with the death metal Mikes (from Cryptopsy and Warhorse) years ago. One of them was playing a cool synth tune on the fly, super late at night. I got the recording and might even use it one day.
Quickly drew this image in 2009 at a trade show most probably in the States, and most probably in Storyboard Pro when goofing around on a Cintiq, which is definitely a cool way to draw.
This is page 18 from the awesome Hillbilly BBQ comic I did for Felinobytes in 2005 , which at the time was called Felino Press. But now everything is digital. Everything.
