Kindergarden Self Portrait

This seems to have been drawn on Sept 06, 1980 when I was in kindergarden. I remember drawing this guy and putting a moustache on him because that's what the kid beside me was doing. Fuckin' hilarious! Then I went back and put moustaches on all of my other self portraits from that year. I guess my OCD pretty much started right there!

Purple Sherrif Mistake Head

Drew this once... made some corrections.

What Gives

Acrylic painting from when I used to live in an apartment alone.

3D animation exercise: acting

"Noooooooo, it's that crap from the tank! It's got them chemicals! It's all over everything"!

Finally! Some 3D animation on this site!

An animation I did a few months ago that used a clip from a scene from the movie that almost made me barf as a kid entitled The Return of the Living Dead. My animation notes are below...

The animation notes i took while working on the little clip.

Mosquito

It's been a while. Here's a sketch of a mosquito that I needed to model inside 3DSMax. This sketch is waaay cooler than the actual finished model.

Zuma

Anak ni Zuma (1987) is the best Filipino horror movie I've seen so far.

Frankenstein and the Bride

Oil painting from around 2004, I painted it at a lady's apt who was teaching me painting techniques at the time. Now it's hanging in my best friend's living room.

Spider Head Rocker

Did this in mime class while the teacher was talking / explaining. It's not really a mime class, more like a body movement class. Very important stuff for us animators. Pretty much in homage to the biggest friggin' spider I ever saw in my basement this past weekend.

Crayon Head

Last week, when I was getting Dahlia to experience "drawing", I made this while she was playing "stick the crayon in the hole"! I also have to show her that the "floor" is not the "paper". Hello!

Don Knotts 1924 - 2006

Don Knotts aka Mr. Furley. F-wording hilarious: Karate chops, hyperventilation, macho-ness, the proud and pretentious nose inhale while holding his belt... smoooth.

Singer from some shitty band

At work, over 10 years ago, I quickly drew this from a band photo inside of a crappy cd of "new metal" that a co-worker brought in. "T'aimes tu ça"? God no.

Ride 'Em Cowboy

Some musical, heavy machinery driven by Nixon.

Two Headed Action!

Old drawings of Toly AK and some mutant space biker. The two go well together.

Very Early HillbillyBBQ

This sketch was done at Manga Latina in the early 2000s. Whenever I look at these old orange pencil drawings, I always think to myself: why the hell wasn't that pencil just red like normal!

Warrior's Face

So, a couple of months ago, while drumming, I saw the form of a face on the wall in front of me, so naturally I stopped drumming and took a paper and drew what I saw. Then, I did a clean version. At least there was a pencil and paper around this time!

Elvis Presley (1935 - 1977)

Elvis is one of my favorites, I mean, c'mon! With a big friggin' eye and everything! This is over 10 years old, I also did a different big eye Elvis version around that same time.

Roadkill

I drew this in drawing class today, it's former Roller Derby player "Roadkill", who used to play for La Racaille! She's in my class. I play music in The Fried Clams with her boyfriend.

The Gravestones

Four years ago, when this show was a possibility, The Gravestones lived!

John Eckhardt, Jr (1911 - 1991)

Man, this guy! He's a "halfer", that is to say, he's got no bottom half. The Great Johnny Eck as he was called. A circus side-show freak who also played in Tod Browning's 1932 film called Freaks. He ALSO, according Wikipedia, was an artist, photographer, illusionist, penny arcade owner, Punch and Judy operator, expert model-maker, race car driver, swimmer, runner, tight rope walker, animal trainer, gymnast, orchestra conductor, train conductor and traveler. "Freaks" is amazing. This sketch must be like 12 years old.

Vincent Price (1911 - 1993)

If Vincent Price is in a movie, I'm going to watch it, you dig? Along with Peter Cushing, one of the best actors in horror. This sketch is about 4 years old or more, most probably drawn during the last time I had a Corman/Poe/Price fest (by myself).

Skeleton Head

Skeleton head sketch from last week.

Pig's Head

This is a dead pig's head, which would be placed on a stick as seen in Lord of the Flies. This head is an object that would be used by an Indonesian black magic / Dimension W character I am working on.

Frank Sinatra (1915 - 1998)

On my way home from work sometime around 1999, I found a blank cassette with Frank Sinatra music on side 2 so I kept it and made myself this cover. At the time, I had no Frank Sinatra music.

Dead (1969 - 1991)

Dead, his stage name, was the first Mayhem singer and the guy who blew his brains out because the Norwegian black metal scene was getting overrun by posers. I'm sure it was more complicated than that. His band mates found the body and took pictures of his corpse, brains poured all over the floor, to use for their next album cover! I saw it, it's pretty gross. The band's founding member was later murdered by the bassist, who has just recently been released from prison after 20 years. Some movie about it seems to be coming out, or is out already. Anyways, their music is an amazing style of black metal (one of the original styles), and is especially good due to the drums and various singers they went through. I drew this 5 years ago.

Some Guy From A Movie

... but God knows who! From sometime in the early 2000s.

Writer's Block (1997)

This was my first puppet animation done in 1997, which played in many festivals throughout the world, due to it's short length and gory animation. My first idea for the short was when I was in a grocery store and saw calf brains for sale. I thought to myself: whatever puppet movie I make, it will include these brains. It smelled pretty bad under the lights.

Lon Chaney Jr aka Larry Talbot

Part of the horror film characters exposed at the Centre Culturel Aberdeen in Moncton NB for Felino Bytes in 2006. This actor is what made the original Wolfman (1941) so good. Benicio could not do the same for the newer, lamer version.

Personal Boot 032210

This is one of three shoes I drew in class, on March 22nd.

Nude Model (fat II)

From waaaaaaay back in January 2006.

Wassup dude?

The guy has a funny expression.
